Way back when, in the dark ages, when I was a schoolboy, I had a teacher that was fascinated with New Orleans. He went on an on about architecture and history and culture and cuisine and music and... whatever. He went there frequently, working toward a doctorate, as I recall. I wonder if his learning experiences were "hands on", as they were for the crowd at the contest that night.
